Change “might be” to SHOULD BE! Truthfully, I was on the fence for months reading threads and researching as much as I could about this mod before I got off the fence. This was mainly because I never owned a drive by wire vehicle before personally. I was also afraid this was just another one of those “performance chips” that all over eBay that are nothing more than a resistor or something that does very little in the way of performance other than some that just advance timing a bit. This device completely changed the feel of my driving experience in my v8 runner, which had plenty of torque, but just didn’t feel as fast as it should for a v8. Now, every time I get in it, I’m happy with the performance and it feels like a v8 should. The cool thing is that you can tailor the throttle response to suit your driving style. I tried several settings, one at a time, and left them for a couple of days to evaluate before moving on until I found the sweet spot for me. If my daughter or wife were to borrow the truck though, I would likely put it to a more stock setting just because they wouldn’t be used to driving with that level of responsiveness. For me personally, it was the best money I’ve spent on any mod so far to this truck, other than maybe the exhaust, which also added greatly to the driving experience.

You’ll love it. My best advice is to leave each setting you try for a day or two so you can evaluate it in different driving conditions, because some are too sensitive to be practical for certain types of driving. Also, I saw no need to actually mount the controller. What I did was route the wiring up into the area where the fuse block is. From there, I was able to slip the control through the slot in the door/cover so it would just hang out for access/adjustment. Once you find the sweet spot setting for you, you’ll really never touch it again, so you can just tuck it back in behind the cover where it won’t show, but will always be easily accessible should you need/want to make an adjustment.

Is it a big difference with the v6 model? Have one for an e46 m3? They have a sport button that does what this does. But you can’t adjust it.

Yep, same difference as the V8, both has the same drive by wire module with the same delay. I sell more for the V6 since most 4th gen are V6.
And Yes Have for the Bmw, and my customers really like them.

Also, I've had people reporting back better gas mileage on highway and on trips!! Which is very cool! And remember, you don't even have to install anything if you don't want, just plug it in behind the gas pedal, set the controller to what you want, then leave the controller in glovebox if you want. For those that don't want to see anything, 5 min install.
