It's most definitely quicker to 60! This still is the best thing I've ever bought. I have them on both my trucks but not on the 3rd gen since it's cable driven but it makes all of them as quick as my 3rd gen responds to my foot.
There's no difference. It's just much more responsive when you press on the pedal.
So many different vendors but decided to make a purchase with Jason at Burtman Industries, since I been reading a bunch of good things from other buyers experience.
Excited and can’t wait to experience no pedal lag!!!
I can promise you and all the other non believers it's quicker only because its faster off the line by a lot.
You have nothing to lose, buy it, don't like it, send it back

Says someone who has never have driven with one. I'm in a 4runner, who the hell takes one to the track and get 0-60 times. Be like going to a Kia race.

Sounds like it makes the throttle response much better also sounds like no improvement in acceleration times. That would required more horsepower, which the product does not do. Hey, I think it's great that it makes the vehicle respond better. It's an inexpensive solution to what I will agree is blah throttle response. I have a heavy foot, so I don't really notice a problem . Doesn't have the 500 HP my old Corvette had, but its a 4WD truck.
I think it may improve your 0-60 (you'd kinda be foolish to measure this on a 4runner lol) but only by virtue of eliminating the throttle lag. However you quantify this based on your driving habits is different for everybody.
I think people misunderstand the SB. It's a quality of life improvement where, instead of stepping half way on the throttle to get a bit of a meatier acceleration, the sprint booster allows you to only step 1/3 on the pedal, for example. So, compared to your original driving habits, you have to do less to achieve the same goals as before. It may also let you get into the powerband faster depending on what setting you have it at.
The throttle became a lot more controllable and predicable when I installed the SB. Before the SB, I could hit the gas and there'd occasionally be such a lag (never measured the time) to the point where it'd make you go, "what the ****? go you piece of shit!" Those words have never came out of my mouth since I installed the DB on my daily commute. If anything, I occasionally think the SB overreacted and made the car drop by one too may gears -with that, I just adjust the setting to be less aggressive/responsive (e.g. drop from green 9 to green 7 or 8).

I have the sprint booster, and personally, I love it. I had been driving my off road premium around with it for a while. I took it out when I traded it in for my TRD PRO. I was so used to the sprint booster that it made the PRO seem so sluggish. First thing I did when I got home was to install my sprint booster. It makes a huge difference in throttle response and overall drivability.
I haven't personally done a 0-60 comparison as I really don't care about drag racing a 4runner. I have seen a few videos on youtube, however, where a comparison has been done. One was in a Jeep Wrangler, one in a BMW and one in a Tacoma, I believe. In all tests, it did improve 0-60 times. It obviously doesn't add more power but it greatly improves throttle response. It eliminates that delay when you mash the pedal. The improved 0-60 time results just from the elimination of that delay.
I have read a lot of the positives, and but what are the negatives or potential pitfalls? I understand that is doesn't add horsepower - there is always that guy that repeats what has been discussed over and over. And by eliminating the delay to acceleration, you would have to improve your 0-60 time, you are literally taking a delay off - the definition of delay is literally "make (someone or something) late or slow". My question is for the mechanics in the room - I have a new Runner with less than 1k miles. I want to get one, but what could the negatives be to an engine by this product, and should I give the engine another 1k miles before I start hard revving this beast?
Thanks for any info
