I think that i have a flip phone from Sanyo. Model is SCP7050. I am at work now...so, i am not 100% sure that i have it...but 99% sure that i do. :) It is a great phone with great reception...you may not want to use your Samsung phone after using the Sanyo phone! :D

I know that Sprint sells used phones. If you've been a customer for a long time, then i wonder if you can go to their BIG stores (not the Mom & Pops) and ask for a loaner.

So, this sucks. Thai, I should have said yes to borrowing your phone. LOL.

Turns out, they finally got my phone on the 5th... They just now on the 10th, opened my pkg containing my phone. Now, the est. repair date is the 17th, but they only have another 2 days (starting tomorrow) to fix it and send it back, within the 5-7 days from recieving it for the 'turnaround' time.

****ing Samsung. Yes, it deserved its' own paragraph. ****.

Now, within these next 2 days, if it is not repaired and on its' way back to my hands for use, I will force them to refund my 165 I paid for the screen fix, since the lock button was already warranty covered, and make the repairs for free... Oh, the agony of not having my phone for personal use. What makes it worse, is I use my phone for work, and it is the main source of all of my income. No phone = less money in my pocket. Hmmm... Wonder what I should/could do about this?

And yes, this is my probably first rant EVER on T4R... I think.

OK, so I am pissed. I still do not have my phone back, it has been 2 weeks, and past the 7 business day turnaround to get my phone back to me. They sent an email to whatever dip**** tech that didn't open my package containing my phone til the 10th, when it was recieved the 5th, to expedite my phone repair and have it shipped to me asap.

But apparently, they don't offer refunds through their policy. I call bull****, so I told them I just sent an e-mail to the CEO's office of Samsung, demanding my refund and phone repair, as the longer I don't have my phone, the more moeny I lose. So from that, I'm now being transfered on the phone as I type this to 'advanced support'.....

Anyone else with experiences with these guys??

Insurance ftw.

I shattered the screen on my HTC Vivid and called Asurion (At&T's insurance) a different the next day I had my new phone. They gave me 5 days it get all of my stuff transferred and send the old phone back. For $199.99 I had my $500 dollar phone back in my pocket.

Call them and demand they send you a new phone and if they refuse get the law involved. Sue for the money lost.

I just take my EVO into sprint when it blows the speakers, and have them swap it in store. I do have insurance on this one, but in the past i've never walked into a sprint store with a broken phone and walked out with out a working one. Never once have i been told to or had to deal directly with the manufacturer.

@ Stick, I would. But Sprint doesn't have a store that deals with the broken screen. Celteks does, but they would charge me about 150 more to do both the screen and the cost of the power/lock button, and all I needed to do was to pay for the screen replacement, as the power button was covered under Samsungs warranty.

@ 4runner, I am definately considering that. I was hung up on twice today when I called and demanded my refund. They said they were xferring me to 'advanced support' and the phone went to dead air, and sat like that for more than 30 min each, so I assumed they ended the call. I sent an e-mail to the CEO's office, and I might just send another e-mail or call them tomorrow. That's a piss-er off.

So, I called today, and was connected to Advanced Support. Apparently, the rep tried to tell me the turnaround time started on the 10th, and tried to blame its delay because of the July 4th WEDSNESDAY and said it was the holiday weekend. Then told me that I was only at 5 business days. And after I corrected him about it being recieved on the 5th, and I was told it started (even though it truely started on the 5th, being recieved in the morning) the 6th. He told me that "we really aren't that far off" of being past the turnaround date, and that my phone was already fixed, passed the quality assurance check, and should be shipped out today, and can't refund me my money. What rep tells his customer that it is perfectly fine that they are 2 days past the turnaround date, and that its been 2 weeks total that they've had my phone?

I don't believe I'll order from Samsung again, or atleast, their phones... I called their corporate office in Richardson, TX and left a message. I'm about to send another e-mail to the CEO's office.

I apologize, this is now my rant thread about Samsung support, and a good informer for anyone who may have to send their phones to them.

Wow, forgot about this thread until now. Samsung sucks dude. Their smartphone sucks in the most basic way! (I have had 2 Sammys...never another one!) Samsung makes the best processors and very good screens...but their antennas (cell, GPS, etc.) suck to no end, esp. if you have CDMA (Sprint & Verizon) service. For some reason too, their cameras are lackluster!

Sorry about rant...but good luck on resolving this! Yeah, Samsung fooled me twice...there won't be a 3rd time!

Definately.. I just got the e-mail back from their corporate office saying that can't refund me my money.
