So as you know we have the same bull bar. Ive been thinking about getting a set of aux lights to put on mine as well. But I was wondering about the stability of the bar. The brackets are a bit sub par. Do you notice the light pattern from the black magics jittering up and down any when you hit bumps?

Nope, did not get my door jams painted. And it really isn't that obvious, I can take a photo for you if you would like. Also, no, I cannot see that my door jams are not painted from the outside.

That'd be sweet if you could take a photo of the door jamb with the door closed!

I like that rack with all the stickers and stuff, maybe I'll have to put mine back on, Everything looks awesome though, I keep trying to convince myself to get some duratracs for my next tire, and these pics have almost convinced me.

I really like my duratracs! my first aggressive looking tire and I couldn't be happier with its overall characteristics

then it fits your 4runner just fine :biggrin2: ("Jitters" being the name of yours). But, yes, the lights do bounce up, but typically only on a cold start. If the car has been running for awhile, it's not that bad

No, he used Plasti-dip, which does NOT adhere to the surface you are covering. It adheres to itself.

Really? Wouldn't the promoter help it bond to the surface better? I used that combination (promoter and plasti dip) on my valence, I hit it a few times with different things and never got any scuffs or scrapes.

Sooo I've realized it's been a year since I've been on this forum! Really awesome to go through this thread and see all the updates. As for this thread being my first post, I was on and off the forums, just looking through when I needed to do work on my rig. Stumbled across yours and noticed you were doing some mods I wanted to do, and thought it was cool that yours was 2WD as well as mine.

Anyways, awesome stuff you have going on!
1.) at least your USMLE is now offered in full color! haha
2.) I also wanted to switch my parking lights with my turn signal lights! Pretty cool to see someone else do that. I haven't done it yet and will have to look into it some time.
3.) The paint on mine had suffered some oxidation when my pops brought the car home for me and I've been considering getting a new paint job, a dark grey specifically. Did you get a pretty good deal on the paint job?

Anyways, sorry for the long post haha, it's been a while! I'm starting to get back on the forums now and in hopes of finally getting some work done on my rig. Everything is looking awesome! Good luck with school and the truck!! :cheers:

Thanks man for the compliments! sorry for the delayed response, I just got back from Kenya and France. And regarding your paint job question, I think I got a pretty good deal (it was less than a thousand for sure and I think it is holding up fairly well). Good luck on your build and let me know if you have any questions!

So like I said, I just got back from Kenya and man were there a lot of really interesting 4x4s. From land rover defenders to pajeros to utility land cruisers, I have seen and been in them all! I wanted to post some of the pictures I was able to take of some of the cool ones but school has recently started up again and I'll try to post them when I get time! Thanks again to Nevada and Ripcord for helping me solve my little dilemma.
