SQ, I used the Rustoleum Flat Black High Performance Enamel. I then went over it with a lot of Gloss clear coat. It produced a look I really like, it wasn't too glossy, but not to flat either. It is holding up VERY well.'

How come you went with 30x9.5? Why not 31x10.5? Will our 15 inch wheels not take that width? Curious because I want dura-trac and they come in 31x10.5 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac-RH3

The 31 will fit fine, I just didn't feel like saving up the extra money for the 31's, I should have. Damn Hindsight. The spare would fit down there, I believe a 31 would too, its just I kept dragging it across everything.

So got my 99 tall coils and tokico struts installed and here are the numbers:

Front Driver - 19.4 inches AFTER - 21 inches (+1.6)
Front Passenger - 19.5 inches AFTER - 21.5 inches (+2.0)
Rear Driver - 20.4 inches AFTER - 20.75 inches (+.35)
Rear Passenger - 20.75 inches AFTER - 21 inches (+.25)

*All Measured from center of hub cap to fender (did this because some people have bigger wheels so this would give an idea of actual "lift")

These numbers are really weird in the rear, didn't expect basically a close to nothing lift

haha what up man! I've been super busy getting ready for medical school (just finished first week here at UT Medical Branch in Galveston). How ya been? How are your retrofits holding up?

cool man, Im assuming your going for a pretty high potion in the medical field? are you already a CNA? I was gonna go through the EMT program after i finished the first level at the fire academy. but i don't think i could handle all the blood lol. congrats getting through the first step man!

the retrofit is holding up great! I freaking love driving at night. I'm planning on doing another one down the road after i start making more money again. I want to black out the housing, use a bigger projector like yours and put my OEM fogs in there for a running light. Its future plans for sure.

Sorry for the 2+ month late response, I've been really busy with school and stuff. And no, I'm going to med school straight from undergrad (except for a year I took in-between to travel). And if I was a anesthesiology nurse, I wouldn't even think about medical school because they have a high enough salary as it is :biggrin2:

anywayz, I think I am getting duratrac's tomorrow! Much needed bigger wheels!!

Update: tinted my corner lights. Since I switched the daytime running lights and my turn signal lights, these tinted ones are now my turn signal lights (does that make sense? lol). I think they turned out pretty nice and match my retrofitted headlights (not to dark and not white/clear). I ordered some bright amber LEDs to compensate for the minimal tinting (from vleds.com) and some nokyo hyper yellow for my daytime running lights. Should look sweet. Will post pictures when they arrive in the mail.

haha yeah...I didn't really get into how I tinted them now did i? my baddddddd...I went to ebay and ordered some $10 vinyl tint. Basically, I removed the corners and cleaned them up. Then I sprayed the lens surface with soapy water and sprayed soapy water on the vinyl tint side that will make contact with the corner light. Then I placed it on top of the corner and used a hairdryer to basically soften the vinyl...this made it more pliable and easier to work with. Then I used an old credit card (make sure it has a smooth edge) to removed any air bubbles. Once there isn't any air or soapy water in-between the vinyl and the lens, this facilitates adhesion. I basically did this starting from the center and working my way out. When it was all smooth, I used an x-acto knife to trim the excess.
