Squeak! Squeak! Squeaakk!!!

So when I stretch out my rear cargo cover and latch it onto the rear hooks (or whatever you call it), it squeaks ALOT on drives. Anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure how to get it to stop squeaking all the time. I've resorted to opening the cargo cover during drives, then closing it when parked. Any remedies?

I never had the cover, but is there maybe room where the mount and the tab meet to
use the loop portion of some adhesive velcro strips in between them?

**Is it plastic to plastic? what about roughing up the surfaces a bit with some sandpaper?

WD-40?

Sorry, that's all I got.

Yeah, I thought about that but wanted to avoid having my interior smell. I will use this as a last resort. Thanks!

That's a good idea, maybe not velcro but some material. It is plastic to plastic and the rub is causing the squeak. I'll try the sanding method, didn't even think of that. Thanks!

Anytime I've had plastic-to-plastic squeak issues I've had good results by applying a very light coat of Vaseline. Chapstick also works.
