Squeaking noise from the Front

Hi,

I have 1997 Limited that make a squeaking noise when do small turn on the steering wheels. The noise come only at low speed, basically when ride by itself with D. I suspect the U-joint but the sound come only when I turn the steering. Not sharped turn but just small turn and small steering movement.

I have my low ball joint coming this week end. But any ideas?
It's kind of scary.

A bump of this post, as I'm seeing/hearing the same.

Mine only makes the noise with the tires on the ground (not when jacked up - suspension at droop).


achha64, did you find out the cause of your squeak?
