Squeaky brakes + wet weather: any solution?

Hi gang,

My 07 SR5 has always had a loud and rather annoying issue during rainy weather. I almost always notice it when going to work in the morning as I'm backing down the driveway... I apply the brake pedal as I'm leaving and I get a few loud squeaks. Once I put her in gear and get on the road it won't happen again until the next rainy day when its been parked for a while

It only happens once and I've read that late model Tacos and T4Rs have this lovely issue, but I was wondering if anyone knows of an actual solution?

I tend to work odd hours and I'd rather my neighbors not have to always endure the noise if possible.

Solution? Haven't found it. Let me say I feel your pain. Mine behaves exactly the same way.

I am so pleased with braking performance overall I have decided that's just part of the deal. My companies 'Vette does it, the Type R Jag does it (it's the big one, fun car! ). Changing pads would create some other compromise IMHO.

Yeah, this happens to me too. Don't know of any solution yet :/

happens to me too but only first thing when i start driving it. when i back out of the parking spot or my driveway then it goes away. i guess im not the only one to have the issue. i guess thats a good thing

+1 for squeaky brake pads while backing out first thing in the morning. At first I thought it was due to moist salty air corroding the pads due to relocating to FL plus lack of regular driving, then I found this post and don't feel so alone now.
