Squeaky/creaky driver seat fix!!!

I've looked all over this forum and TONS of us had the same mind numbing squeak/creak coming from the drivers seat, and nobody could seem to find a fix for it...long story short here's the deal:

1) Take the seat out, it's easy, 4 bolts, 2 electrical plugs.

2) After a few minutes of poking around i tracked the squeak down to the suspension that is built into the seat itself...its the reason that your seat has about an inch of up and down play in the rear.

3) Lay the seat face down, away from you, so that you are looking at the bottom of the seat from the rear...there is a bar (slightly hidden by upholstery) at the rear that runs from left to right and sits in a plastic guide "cup" at either end (it is also attached to the "wire support mesh" under the seat)...this bar has attachment points on the frame where it swivels up and down, and there is also a big spring on the left side that does the same...lube up all these "swivel" points well (i used WD40) and viola! no more squeak/creak!

You might want to go back and use an actual lubricant. More than likely the noise will be back soon. WD40 is not a lubricant.

do you have video where i can lube up the powerseat like youtube i havea 2003 4runner limited edition

This is a 7 year old topic and looking at his profile page the OP hasn't been on the forum in 4 years so I doubt he will respond, he did describe what all he did to stop his noise so your best bet is to try and follow what he wrote!
