Squeals at start up

My 99 ltd. squeals for a second when it starts up. If it's a belt, which one, and f it's caused by a component wearing out, what do you think is causing it? It's a 5VZE a/t v6. Thanks.

Look at them and see if they are cracked. Push on them to check for looseness.

That and glazed belts will squeal to no end no matter what so check for glazing as well

Okay I'll check for those things I do wonder if these apply when it's only squealing for a quick second and then stops and doesn't come back again.

Start with checking the tension and belt condition as suggested in Acidmeld's post.

Only reason I mentioned glazing is because I've known people to just let the belt squeal for months on end which eventually kills the belt....even short squeals over the course of time will do a belt in.
