Squeeking coming from wheel area?

I've noticed when I pass a curb or wall and it's quiet enough I can hear squeeking coming from what sounds like the wheel area. The squeeking changes as I slow down and stops when I stop the vehicle. Pressing the brakes lightly or hard makes no difference in the squeeking other than the noise changing a bit as I am slowing the vehicle. I don't see any obstructions inside the wheel. Any suggestions?

Brake disk shield making contact with rotor maybe.
Applying brakes doesn't make it go away right?

I had this on my wife's GX470 and it was the brake pad retaining clips were rubbing on the rotor.

Jfry, yes no difference in sound when I press on the brakes. The only difference in the sound is as I'm slowing down which makes me think something is against the rotor or inner wheel.

Thanks morphyne I'll get under there and hopefully be able to see the retaining clips and see if none is out of place.

if I am right the outside edge of the rotor should be Shiney where the clip is rubbing.

Remove the wheel and spin the rotor...that's how I found my squeak
