SR5 brake squeal

It is sporadic, but here in the MIdwest the weather is frigid. Is it normal for brand new pads to squeal right when I pull out of my driveway? It goes away as I drive, but I never had this with any other vehicle.

yes it is normal.

Is it while backing up only? I know my FJ had a TSB out for rear brake squeal while backing, I think they replaced the rear rotors to fix it.

Mine does this as well and even a bit the first few stops going forward. Mostly noticeable when it is cold our wet. Normal.

Did the new pads get properly bedded in after they were installed?

Onky happens when its cold and it goes away while driving. My brothers new Highlander does not do this at all.
