So with a 2011 4runner SR5 [ No NAV / NO JBL ] straight basic, I installed a 10" android (those direct swaps, just had to swap over the 2 vents from OEM bezzle to the aftermarket bezel that housed the android 10" already. Plug and play. I put it in reverse, camera displays up on rear view mirror (OEM) as normal.
So what I would do is take the overhead console out, unplug rear view camera plug, cut back tape exposing wires.
Cut a MALE end yellow RCA/Video cable about a foot of wire behind it, strip back to expose the outter bare wire, and inner wire.
Red wire from overhead console plug > I will extend to the "reverse" wire (the typical wire on literally any double din headunit that is labeled reverse/reverse trigger type deal).
White & Black wire from overhead console plug > I will extend down to behind the headunit as well, where it will meet my Male end RCA cable. White will go to the INNER ( V+ ) shielded wire of the RCA, Black will go to OUTTER ( V- ) bare wire of the RCA.
Plugin said RCA "pigtail" I made to the Camera-out female RCA on the aftermarket headunit.
It'll work? I wont need to do anything else? Seems some people are having to use only red>reverse trigger wire on aftermarket headunit, and the black wire from the plug stating white does nothing. Some say you need all 3. Some day theres more to it than this (12V>6V stepdown / all 3, but also splicing into ground at the headunit lalala)

Sorry to revive an old thread, its hard to find info, and when I do the next write up contradicts what I find haha... who knows... there might even be an easier way discovered by now (Considering one of the plugs going into rear of the 10" android headunit, displays reverse camera on rear view mirror when in reverse, maybe I could just tap into said plug instead of having to go from rear view mirror plug>down to headunit? :O
