OP, most people here use wheel spacers to get the "stance" look.
In almost all cases changing offset will cause the tire to rub. Some fixes are easy and some require a BMC or using a BFH to beat down the pinch welds.

they actually do have tires, the outer wear portion of the wheel is called the tire, its replaceable.

I don't know if this is what you were looking for, but my wheels have a minor lip. It's kinda annoying because on wet days water pools up in there.
