Standard or Automatic

I am looking into buying either a 93-99 4Runner or a 97-02 tacoma. i know you can get a standard in a tacoma in any year. does anyone know what was the last year that 4Runners were available with a standard? i would really like to get a standard 4Runner but i dont want to have to go too old...thanks a bunch

Standard is manual transmission? I think the last year for manual was on 4Runners was 1999.

I think the 2wd models still had a manual available longer than that.

I'm pretty sure the 2000 was the last model year for the stick shift 4Runner. 2000 was also the last year of the available 4 banger and the optional rear diffy locker.
