Started changing cv axel today need help...

so, this thread was the nudge i needed to replace the bootless passenger side shaft on mine. Pulling the top ball joint was in fact bunches easier.

i trashed my swaybar too. the rubber bits were nearly gone, and it seems to work almost as well laying ovr there in the junk pile as it did on the truck.:shrug:

Same with mine and I dd mine but its all city won't be taking long trips with it so not a big deal. And has to help off road without it right? Defiantly not feeling like I want to do the other side yet might just wait till it fails completey..

Bah.... Now you know how to do it. The other side will take a couple hours tops!

Ya my 3hr fix turned into like 6hrs... I'm a little ashamed to admit it. But hopefully I can't bet my family friend who has been a mechanic for 30+ years. I'm being hopeful here.
