first I did do the google search above and read many of the threads
dont know if dragging is correct term.
so here is my problem. about a few weeks ago, on occasion, the starter would keep spinning for a few even after engine was running. Hasnt done that for a few days. Last night got home and realized I had forgotten something, car had not been off for more than 2 minutes....would not start, made no noise, no clicking nothing, but everything worked otherwise, lights etc.
I have no idea if original starter, now at about 250k, 12 yeas of previous owners papers dont say anything about starter....and he was so accurate he even wrote down when he changed wiper blades...
this morning I went out and fired right up. Torque pro said I was charging fine.
ran it for a few, shut it off, restarted no problem. ledt get up to normal operating temp, turn off let it sit about 5 minutes..no problem.
I assume its the starter contacts . If you dont think its that...then what.
Saddly its winter in alaska and no garage...so I might have to have a shop replace before it strands me. I dont have another vehicle. I do have the tools, and have watched timmys starter video....just worng time of year.
maybe if napa has a starter relay on shelf, i might pick one up today as some of the threads I have read make reference to the relays going bad.
