Starting issues. Any ideas? 97 T4R V6 SR5

I just went through a pretty extensive rebuild after an accident. Replaced the whole Left front corner, battery, radiator, all belts, timing belt, water pump etc. were replaced.

During the rebuild, never had a problem starting right up. Starter was replaced 2-3k miles ago and hasn't been used much.

It will always start first thing in the morning without fail, but later on it takes a few seconds and a few tries sometimes for the engine to grab and start. When we were replacing the timiming belt, we removed the 1st spark plug and replaced it with a new one and applied the gel that I was given. I purchased 6 new ones but we didnt have time to install them all and I was told they were pre gapped for my runner.

After asking around, I have been told that it is most likely a problem with the gap on the spark plugs?

Any ideas?

I don't have any good ideas. The spark plugs I've always are pre gapped and they've never given me any starting problems.

After 300k miles have you ever replaced the contacts and plunger on your starter? Just a thought.

I doubt it unless they are included in the starter itself?
Are those not replaced when you put in a new starter?

One other thing that started at the same time is that when I turn the key, the back window goes down until I release the key.
