Stay away from Nalley Toyota in Roswell, GA!

Been meaning to post this for a while. I told the manager at Nalley I'd be making this post to keep others away from their dealership, and here it is! Regardless if you're buying a new or used car from Nalley Toyota, beware. These guys are just about as scummy as they come. Ever since I bought my Runner in November 2010 I have had nothing but problems. I called corporate Toyota the give them hell, and Nalley Toyota didn't even respond for a week. I told them I'd be filing a small claims court case and they pretty much told me to go f myself. The main manager, total *******, told me he'd try to help me out by giving me a couple free oil changes since they failed to help me out on some other things. Not only did I not get a call, but they also scam other people. Just in case anyone was planning on buying a new/used car in Roswell, stay away from this dealership. Just trying to look out for the others on this forum!

What all has gone wrong with the car?

Seems things never change.
This dealership is near my office so I shopped them when I bought my 4R back in 2005. They were located across the street from where they are now.

Found the sales process not to my liking and went down to Sandy Springs Toyota and did the very happy deal. My boss bought a Highlander a few months later and did the same thing, bailed on Nalley and went up to the dealer around Mall of GA for his purchase.

Stopped in to Nalley recently to price some parts and found them to be twice the price of internet Toyota parts dealers. That was a good lesson to me: never assume all dealers price their parts the same.

Weird.....I got my 4R from Nalley. I have tried to call & ask questions (i.e. why I give free advertising on my truck with your stupid emblems) and coming by to remove stuff. They were rude, curt, and just sucked.
I avoid it like the plague if I have to go to one!

There's a Nissan dealer near me. When I bought my 98 pathfinder I drove 20 miles past them to another Nissan dealer. It's amazing how businesses like this stay in business.

These guys are just the worst. I was hoping I'd just get a little input from others and then I'm going to hand deliver this thread to the manager and see what he's got to say. I'll never do business with these scumbags again!

I really don't think it'll do any good. It sounds like they know exactly what they're doing and just don't care.

There are a couple of ways to run a business. One is give good service and product to all the customers all the time. This model is a low profit margin...but for long term loyalty. The other model (which unfortunately too many businesses follow). What's the MAXIMUM profit I can make. With this business model they are always at or near the edge of customer satisfaction. Profit will always trump customer satisfaction. There's a fine line where if they p*ss too many customers they won't be in business...so they are always skating that line.

I want the manager to realize that by not helping me, he's going to lose thousands of dollars of business. That's all!

And what I'm saying is...THEY DON'T CARE. In their stupid mind....they'll make more money screwing customers then by keeping their customers happy.

I hope it works out for you....I've seen this type of business all too often..and from my experience...they just don't care.

Hey Mike, I know they won't care. It's just one of those things that I need to do just to get the satisfaction. After a couple more posts I'm gonna hook up the printer and take this over to Nalley. All I'm saying is if they can't keep their word and call me back or offer me a free oil change or something, then I have the right to publicly humiliate them. Even if one person sees this thread and decides to go elsewhere, they lose at least 1K. That makes writing this thread totally worth it!

Just be careful.

One thing to remember, even about dealers who get in serious legal trouble, is that they are huge sales tax collectors and very valuable to the community they are in. They get a free pass for most infractions.

Review the long history of Bill Heard's car sales and the very minor punishments they got for things that were illegal. They are defunct now, thank goodness. These dealers were responsible, daily, for many 911 calls by people wanting their keys back.

Point is being a little rough to do business with is likely by design and completely intentional on their part. They don't worry much about minor complaints. They want only a certain kind of customer, there's only so many hours in the day to deal with customers. They avoid the difficult ones.

And to some of these sleazy dealers...the difficult ones are the ones with an IQ over 90. They only want to deal with the dumb and innocent. That way they believe everything they are told and they actually feel good about it.

A friend of mine is dating a car salesman. He says at most dealerships the car salesmen follow a rigid script, developed over many years and it is tweaked quarterly based on many factors. Ads recruiting car salesman most often say they do not want anyone with prior car sales experience. They want their system followed.

After the first half hour with you they begin to work a specific plan designed and tested to maximize their income. It's quite beautiful actually, "sign this, need your approval" (many documents), "don't you agree...", "let me get Joe to join us..."(good cop/bad), "I'll be back, taking this to my manager"(comes back in a half hour).

The guy who walks into a car dealership without proper planning and the will to walk away quickly is in trouble.

I hope some of the new auto buying web sites change the business.

Decided to rekindle my anger. The manager said he'd give me a free oil change for my inconvenience and didn't call at all. So we settle on him giving me a $30 oil change instead of me being all pissed and not make this post :D

After saving my pennies and dimes I bought a brand new driver side fender flare.. Total cost $400. The Toyota body shop did fine installing it and I'm happy. Now about the fender, I took some pictures. Pictures of the inside of my fender are at the bottom.

How is this guy seriously going to tell me that there was nothing wrong with this fender. Everytime I walk into the dealership I wave at the guy and just make him feel like an ass. Still debating on wether or not I'm going to file a suit or if I'm going to print this thread out and show him all the bad publicity his dealership is getting :AK47:

*In for the dealership bashing* I try to avoid dealerships like the plague because well...they just suck. I've yet to feel they have my general needs as a customer at heart.

My brother worked for a car dealership for 3 years and he learned never to trust one. They just want your money and want it fast.

Used, the front fender flare was about an inch away from the car after 6 months of owning it and no offroading. Obviously just glued it up to sell it and the manager told me to **** off. So here's my response
