I got caught up on the OP's phrase "I should have let my mom call.."

Look. This is life. This is how it works. There are dozens of websites like Yelp that have a sole function of helping people make wise choices. In the real world there are nice people, ****ty people and people in between.

Stop pretending you are owed anything, because you are not. So, you think you got a ****ty deal? Ok. Never, ever, go back.

But stop constantly re-hashing it. In my honest opinion, you made a bad decision. You are young, saw a shinny toy Mommy or daddy was helping you buy, and you jumped... too quick.

You know what will never happen again? That. You just learned a valuable life lesson. The same lesson, FYI, I learned years ago myself. Everyone rolls out into the world and gets educated, real quick.

If this hatchet job of body work was so obviously ****ty, then if you had taken the effort to have it inspected by a neutral 3rd party (as I will advise ANYONE to do)... they would have caught it.

You walked into a dealership that has but 1 goal... 1 goal. To make money and you bought a vehicle from them, in what sounds like, practically 0 thinking.

Well there is your problem. Stop expecting ANYONE other than yourself to guard your interests.

End of my opinion. You have been *****ing about this think for what seems like months.

Yet you continue to do custom mods to it... your killing any and all resale on it. If that truck SUCKS so f'ing much.. stop f'ing with it and sell the damn thing.

You are starting to sound like a spoiled teenager......

Everything DC said :bigok:. It's a used car so unless it's under warranty then its sold AS IS...Caveat emptor. The more you complain, the more it sounds like whining. I've seen threads like this on other car, bike and gun forums. They usually don't turn out as the OP's intended. Take it as a cheap life's lesson and move on.

I can prove the dealership did it because I called the guy who owned it before me AFTER I bought it. Yes I know my Mom should've called before but **** happens.

I always feel conflicted when these threads pop up, because I work for a dealership and understand the politics and people who suffer as a result. Sales and service are two different departments and I'd our dealership is any example, often bickering with each other. Our salesman on average are inept and concerned about the sale rather than building a future customer for our service department. I run the service side of our used car department and we have a varied inspection process depending on the vehicle, a Toyota CPO is more comprehensive than Autonation (company who owns dealership) used cars and our value vehicle program. Also, do not confuse inspection with repair. We constantly fight with sales to fix things on cars but, unless its a safety issue (even then its pulling teeth) they won't do it. As a result, our service department is often frustrated because customers blame us for sales idiocy and they get more jaded than normal service writers already do.

That its my experience at my dealership a technician. If the vehicle is CPO, or used you were given an inspection sheet when the car was sold. The technician and service manager sigh off on those and if its a Toyota COOl just call TOYOTA HQ and they will investigate the claim. But a lot of your claims happen after six months, you can't expect anyone to predict what will break and what won't in a half year. You bought the car used, which has risks as you found out. I think you are expecting to much, but the dealership sounds like they are dropping the ball also.

A coworker of mine recently bought a 98 jag with 60k miles from a dealer. Said car made it a week before she found out it needed a lot of work. Mainly the timing chain was destroyed. That with some other repairs ran her 6k. Lesson learned get the car inspected and do an inspection yourself. All in all I feel for you however life is expensive, I would rather be on your end and not on hers.

The lesson learned is never buy a Jaguar unless you plan on paying for repairs... Along with the while buying used cars thing. Lol
