Steal on rims on CL.. but will they fit?

Here is the link, they are Tacoma rims (I think newest generation?) for a pretty damn good price. I asked the guy for info, but said he couldn't provide any.

I know I can probably find the specs somewhere, but I just wanted to see if anyone had experience with these? They are 6 lug, and would look sexy on my rig. Also curious if anyone that has these also has upgraded Tundra brakes. Thanks!

These rims work and do look like a steal, but I don't really know if the tires are "ok". I'm fairly sure they will work with the TBBU but I can't say for sure, I'm almost positive it will work with the 199mm size, maybe not with the 231mm size. Gotta love CL finds!

I wouldnt say you robbing the guy. You can get these standard tacoma rims for $200-$400. With the powder coat they do look shiny but again for the same price you could find some nice snowflakes, or 7 spoke splits.

Seems like a good deal to me. I just picked up a set of 4th gen 17" sport wheels for only $150! :boink: I couldnt believe it. Tires are like 60-70% and came with all 4 center caps. Sometimes people selling parts on CL just dont know what they are worth.

It's not very often I find something on CL that will fit my 4Runner so I'm wondering if I'm just over-excited and want to jump on them haha. If I plan on putting new tires anyway, maybe it would be more wise to save a little more money for the Stealth Series Wheels? Brand new and sure to fit. It's hard to determine whether I have a good deal on my hands or if I'm just being a kid in a candy shop..

Yeah, sometimes you don't know until your see it for yourself. Hard to tell with just a couple of craig's list photos. Maybe google the rims and see if you can find more pics with those rims on a 4Runner.

Definitely not a steal for those wheels if you don't want the tires, you can find those wheels in factory finish for like 100-200$ all the time, and usually plain black powdercoat is only 40-50 per wheel, They will fit about the same as the factory 3rd gen wheel, if I remember right they have a little less backspacing though.

Instead of just hunting for a bargain, buy what you really want
