I found this pic a while back, and I am going to steal a couple ideas from it. I'd like to see more pics of it, but this is all I have able to find. It looks like it has limited flares painted white, not bushwackers, can anyone confirm that? Also, if I found a set of limited flares to replace my SR5s, do they have gasketing in white? Thanks for any info.

JMO - I have a Limited and prefer your SR5 flares.

FYI - according to most of the people on the boards that remove their flares...it is very difficult to get them back on without gaps. And, you will need to drill new holes to fit the Limited's flares.

Goodluck to you whatever you decide.

PS - You might be able to Plasti-dip the gasket in white if you needed to.

I just really like the look of all white...from that angle, it almost looks like they painted the SR5 flares...to hard to tell though. I've read the threads about installing the limited flares, and yes it is tricky. Who knows, maybe I'll just try to paint my flares, saw that somewhere too.

His son owns a shop. I was going to go through him to paint a certifit hood for me. He's a real nice guy he can explain once he sees this thread.

Ya I've seen his sig around on different threads. He put some bushwackers on his, which I am trying to stay away from since they're so expensive. I like the one above because its so clean and understated...

looks like limited flares to me, all the contours look right. Kind of hard to tell with that pic though.

Nope 8sm's is a 97 plus he never had Ivan Stewart rims.

OP, you could get some white plasti-dip and spray your SR5 flares to see if you like the look.

I think thats what I am going to do. Do you think the plasti-dip will hold up very well, or should I get some higher end paint with flex additive in it? I have a hook up at a paint shop, so I could probably get a good deal. I think for the license surround, front valance, and back bumper step I'm going to use real paint, using adhesion promoter and all the necessary steps. Hopefully I can do it soon, once this crappy weather passes.

spray your SR5 flares to see if you like the look.

I've seen someone spray theirs and it looked really good. However if you want the 'fattiness' of the limited flares, then go through the trouble and do that.

I don't really need the wideness of the limiteds, I like how my tires fit with the SR5s. I saw KYotas thread, which is where I got the idea to just paint mine. I actually messaged him to see how it came out since he never finished the thread. I'll try plasti-dip I guess, at least that way I can undo it!

I think you should paint your chrome bumpers , andleave your flares and valance black .

I like my chrome, plus its still in pretty good condition. It's a grocery getter, so I need something that pops in the parking lot! I believe Trailheads has blacked out bumpers and wheels, which looks good, but I'm on the fence about it. I think with darker colors like yours the color matched bumpers look good, but on lighter vehicles I like the chrome. Once this wedding is over, I think I'm going to give it a shot. I'll post up some pics of all the mods I have a plan on doing...and there are a lot! Thanks for the tips guys.

Whatever you do, I would definitely leave the valence black.
