Steering Angle Sensor Replacement

I am thing about replacing my steering angle sensor in order to fix my slip indicator problem which turns on at turns in 4WD on regular road. Is it as simple as remove and replace or do I need to calibrate anything? I will just line up everything as it was and it should be good as factory?

Has anyone replaced the steering angle sensor before by taking off steering wheel...? Did this fix slip indicator problems in 4WD??

When changing a steering angle sensor it must be set to 0 with the wheels straight ahead. On some vehicles this requires a scan tool capable of two way communication. On some vehicles there is a procedure to follow that does it. I've never done a 3rd gen myself, so I can't actually speak to that. But it does need to be reset, or set.

Quick google search netted me this, 4th gen, but just an example!
