Steering problems

Alright starting to have some issues with the steering on my 03 limited v8. The runner acts as if there is no power steering at times.

You can be turning the wheel, then all of a sudden it just locks up as if the power steering went out, then as you are muscling the wheel to turn it just gives and goes normal. Kinda dangerous at this point. It doesn't happen at the same point each time. Its random when the wheel will start to go stiff.

Any ideas on what to look for or do?

Lube your steering shaft u-joint and sliding shaft and you will be fine.

something similar happened to me, replaced my steering fluid with fresh fluid, and the problem went away
