Steering Wheel Controls Lost

Does anybody know if there is a fuse for the steering wheel controls (vol up+ down,etc) i can't seem to get my Pac Swi-x to work. I've hooked everything up according to the manual but when going to program the Pac Swi-x with the steering wheel controls it doesn't work. It seems like the controls from the steering wheel are not sending out any kind of signal to the Pac Swi-x. Any ideas?? Thanks!

I'll presume you mean with a 4th gen 4runner (2003+), but if not, please correct. according to my wiring diagram for the 2003 4runner, there is no fuse between the steering wheel controls and the head unit, there is a connector or two tho...

i JUST HOOK UP A SWI-ALP NOT TO LONG A GO AND MY WORK FINE. how did you hook it up? what HU do you have?

I have a kenwood 7015. I'm using a Peripheral PESWIX universal steering wheel control i followed the directions hooking the white/red wire to ground and then putting a 150 ohm resistor on the yellow wire and connecting it to the white wire on the PESWIX + the violet wire from the steering wheel control. There is power going to it but the PESWIX will not program. Hmm. It's driving me crazy!!!!
