Step bar question

So...I'm wanting to get a set of n fab step bars for the 4runner..they show on their website that they only fit trail editions. ..but I've seen them on sr5s...anyone running this style bar on an sr5??

10-13 SR5's and Limited's have a rocker trim piece that prevents them from fitting unless spacers are used. The 2014 SR5 and Trail don't. So they will fit a 2014 SR5.

Sorry. I've rephrased my answer. RiDE sells a spacer kit for 10-13 models. It consists of square tubing that goes between the step bar and the body mounting points. This spaces the step bar down enough to clear the trim. Check out this thread.

Why get the nfabs with spacers, cost is near 500, for that price you can get real sliders, that can take a beating.

Shrockworks also sells a trim piece to replace the rocker Trail Edition Rocker Trim, 5th Gen 4Runner

Trust me I want sliders..but it's the wifes 4runner and she wants steps

There are sliders that address that too with fillers for steps. Best of both worlds!

My kids are now tall enough that they don't necessarily need steps. I love my NFabs with Ride spacers but also covet budbuilts and trail rocker trim. I would entertain the idea of parting ways with my NFabs/spacers to help fund real sliders. PM me if interested. Could be a win win for us both.
