I'm thinking of getting a set but don't know which ones to go with. I searched online but I wanted to see them mounted on to the vehicle to make a decision and most sites have them not mounted. Thanks for the help everyone.

that thread has like 4 pictures in the whole thing. sure you can click through each individual link in there to get to one persons post with them on their vehicle, but what is the harm in having a post with everyones pictures in one place? then when someone gets new sliders and wants to show them off, they can post them here? tough crowd in here.

Because build threads are the only ones allowed anymore.

I ordered mine raw and painted and primed myself. I really recommend this, as I just touched mine up the other day for the winter.

Thanks for posting these images of the connection to the frame with KDSS.

To the OP, I think there are plenty of images on line of the installed rock sliders. Most of the websites that advertise rock sliders show lots of images with the sliders installed. Very few of them show the mounting plates (focused, with good lighting), as if it were a trade secret. Some of the sites say they have gusset plates but don't show them. What good is that? And just about none of them show the attachment to the frame with any clarity. It's hard to judge the strength of the connection without seeing that.

I like the idea of ordering them in bare steel and then painting them yourself. Then if you want to add gusset plates at key locations you could do that pretty easily before painting.

We've been building, and therefore selling, a ton of 5th gen sliders lately. I'm sure someone out there can post up some pics. Full frame mounts, gussets, and KDSS versions available.
