stereo has no power sometimes

I lose power to my stereo in my 1999 limited sometimes. In the morning when it is cool, it usually works. Late morning, if the AC is not running, it usually works. In the heat of the day it rarely works. I have determined that there is no power to the stereo when it is not working. Any idea where to start looking?

Is this the stock stereo or aftermarket?

Check thoroughly...

Chek thoroughly your the wiring of your car,there may be any loose connection.If it is not then you can change your stereo with any aftermarket unit.

It is the stock stereo.
I have verified that there is no voltage on the plug to the stereo when it is not working.

when its not working check other things, headlights, turns, cigaret lighter, dome lights. could be a bad relay or might even be an ignition switch.
