Stock 4runner wanting to get a 1" lift

Can someone explain this to my like a idiot.

Who does this? A tire shop? A mechanic? I know of no one where I live who advertises doing this.

Does this require new shocks and struts. I have a 08 urban runner that has the xreas. Does this need to be replaced with a lift?
How much money are you looking at with a 1" lift?
I am also looking at getting the 17" TRD wheels and some new tires.

I am debating between this or buying a 2015 4runner. Just wondering what I am getting myself into as I have never done this before.

If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself, most mechanics can do it easy enough. Call around for a decent price.

Stock 4runner wanting to get a 1" lift

I have an 04 T4R and recently did an 09 FJ install (coilovers up front with springs and shocks in the rear). Shop charged me just over 800.00.
It gave an 1" both front and rear; the rake was a bit more than i wanted so i had a 1" spacer installed on the front. Looks great and the ride is so much nicer than the stock T4R! 256,000 miles
