]I found this over at the FjCruiser Forum and was wondering if anyone here as tried it yet. I did a quick search but didn't see anything posted about here in the 5th gen forum. Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum - View Single Post - FREE mods you've done - list em
I'm gonna grab the parts at Lowe's some time this week and try it out. It shouldn't hurt anything.
You basically just need two 2 3/8" Post Caps Lowe's Part # 92186. The guy over at FJ Cruiser painted his black to better match the stock piping. If anything I might get a more throaty growl when I hit the gas. Worth the $4 IMO for that. Might also remove the cotton thing above the stock filter media as well and see what that does.
One thing they did note was that they just capped the vacuum line and I'm not sure if this will be a bad thing. I could always drill out a hole in one of that post caps and put the vacuum line there perhaps. This is what the vacuum line goes to courtesy of TOYSTRY's TRD CAI post. Looks like an EGR valve.http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b69/jwohlfehrt/TRD%20CAI%20Install/IMG_1089.jpg
