Stock Offroading?

I noticed the "D" rings hanging below your ARB bumper, but did not see them in earlier pics with stock bumper. (Didn't look terribly hard either)

Was that part of the ARB or something you fabbed up? I was wondering what kind of front tow points came with the stock 4runner.

Love the look of your 4Runner dude... My guess is I will go for more of a hidden winch setup or "hidden hitch" / removeable, but ARB always makes a sweet looking bumper.

I am not sure I saw where you got the rear bumper protection?

Also nice to see the REVO 265/70/17s in there, so you folks really think they do ok in MUD? (Vs say a BFG A/T...tread looks alot more aggressive/clear out better?)

"D" shackles are not ARB. Those are Warn shackles and I painted them in red for better look. I had them on stock tow points with stock bumper for a couple months before I finished with ARB fabrication.

Stock front tow points are 2 loops welded to the sub-frame on both side of the vehicle (approximately in the same location as my shackles on ARB right now, maybe a little closer to the center). They hold pretty well, I did many recoveries with them.

There is no hidden winch or hidden hitch options available for 4th Gen. 4Runner. I was thinking of fabricating one when I had a stock bumper, but then finished with prefabricating ARB Land Cruiser Bar. You still can fabricate those things yourself, but it wouldn't be an easy job.

My rear bumper guard is MINE. I fabed it myself. Actually most of the things on my truck are fabricated. I did all my skids, sliders/steps, rear bumper guard, refabed ARB, ...

Revos are not that bad in mud. MT/Rs are much better for mud, but Revos are still good. It all depends on the preferences. What do you want? Good on-road performance with occasional off-roading - Revo is the best choice. On-road stability and ability to go anywhere (medium to hard off-road trails with deep mudholes and submerged land) - MT/Rs are way to go. I have both of them and I found that It's enough for me to use MT/Rs in the summer time (I don't care much about noise, but like the tough look) and Revo for winter performance (they are very stable on sleepy conditions such as packed snow and ice).
