strange electrical problem

This morning is was a balmy 27°, the windows were nice and iced over. I start the 'runner and turn on the rear defroster and go back out and start scraping the side windows. The passenger side door mirror de-iced in about 2 minutes but the drivers side and rear glass never de-iced. I didn't have time to check any fuses today, and I will check the obvious things on my own but I'm just curious if anyone else has run into anything like this on their rig?

Rear defrosters fail, neither one works on my two 3rd gens. But I live in CA, so who cares. Actually it would be nice when it snows, oh wait. When it gets below 40, which is like 2 days a year but it would still be nice.
