Hello all! Here to inquire about a potential issue that just occurred earlier this morning on my way to work
Sometime last week my left running daytime light went out so I went to Auto Zone and picked up another replacement bulb. There is a warning where it indicates you need to replace a bulb with increased speed of blinking. I replaced the faulty bulb with a new one and then tested my blinker which went back to its normal speed when blinking. I did no further steps after that other than disconnecting old bulb & connecting the new bulb. Earlier this morning the same left daytime running light went out again (back taillights' blinkers are fine) so I am not sure what is going on? I was at a red light and all of sudden I hear increased blinking when I activated the turn signal.
Does anyone know what could have happened with this? I did nothing different other than going under the truck to disconnect the bulb then put in the new bulb where it tested fine a minute afterwards. Activated turn signal earlier this morning and it is the same thing with the original bulb that went out.
Was there any additional steps I needed to take to make sure my daytime running lights continue working after replacement of one bulb? I'm a huge fan of using turn signals and I feel bad for drivers on the other side of the intersection where we both yield to each other taking opposite turns where they can't see my left front blinker
Might have to take it to the stealership if I can't figure this crap out myself! You'd think this kind of situation would include a quick fix where you just swap out bulbs!!
