Streaming Audio via Bluetooth...New to Me

My wife was slightly upset that she had to use her phone to advance the track when streaming via bluetooth. She wanted to use the interface on the Entune system and the steering wheel controls. To solve that problem I had her load up a USB Stick Drive with all of her I-Tunes favorites. She can now use the steering wheel and the touch screen to change to whatever song she likes without having to touch her phone.

I haven't tried fast forwarding, but I know you can skip tracks using the steering wheel controls (while BT streaming)

After playing with both phones today I have the following to report:

Both Gallaxy S3 and the iPhone 4S allow you to move between tracks and adjust the volume using the steering wheel

The Gallaxy S3 still experiences interruptions or chimes every so often advising the car did not have access to my phone list or my texts. Even with the entune app running it still gave me notifications.

Volume and quality of music between the two cells phones using Bluetooth is about the same.

Couldn't get Pandora to work today for some reason.

Is there a way to update the firmware on the radio system to see if that resolves some problems?

So I was driving my wife's '12 Lexus IS250 with Nav today and realized you can stream audio via bluetooth...as soon as I got home I checked and my 2010 Limited w/Nav has the same capability :music:

Was I the only numskull driving around using the AUX jack with my bluetooth capable phone??

Ive had my 2010 TE for two years now and I have been using the blutooth phone capability but until today because of your post, I realized you have to additionally pair your music device in Blutooth as well. All this time I was using the AUX jack for music but blutooth for the phone :wacko:

Ya Bluetooth music is awesome, I found out on my 2014, I can pause and rewind live radio as well

Well, maybe I have an excuse...I purchased mine pre-owned and had it shipped to Seattle from Southern Cal. I just signed the paper the truck driver had and I drove it off. Still....:doh:
