Strongest Aftermarket Roof Rack? Drilling more holes in the roof is a plus.

While the oem rack works well enough I want something stronger that doesn't rely on just 8 holes in the roof. I'm used to my old landcruiser which can add as many clamps as I like on the rain gutter.

I've owned two full-length Prinsu racks, one currently on my 4th gen and I have to say I've never once had an issue with strength. I'm pretty sure most of the big name options out there avoid drilling more holes and I don't know of any of them known for being weak. What are you trying to attach to this rack?

What has popularized drilling holes for mounting roof racks is the 5th gen 4runner only because the factory mounting position is so far back.

I'm not aware of any 4th gen roof racks that require drilling.

My Gobi rack holds me my buddy and both our wives with no problem standing on top. Over 800lbs. No drilling required.

Highly recommend [MENTION=413201]SherpaEquipmentCo[/MENTION] Princeton rack. Their mounting design is IMO stouter than Prinsu's. They also use a thicker and slightly taller material for side rails. I have a feeling that my roof would collapse before the rack gave in.
