Strut Assembled Crooked & AC Delco FJ Spring Height?

I just had my Bilstein 5100 assembled by a local shop. Noticed one of them looks crooked between the top cap and the strut body itself, is this a problem or will be be ok once installed?

The springs are AC Delco FJ springs with the struts at their stock height setting. Any idea how much front lift I might get from these on a V6 4runner? Various posts have said anywhere from an 1" to 2+ inches" using stock FJ springs, has anyone used the AC Delcos?

it doesn't look like they assembled it correctly, see the rubber part at the top where the spring seats? also look at the shock bushing at the top too. are these new mounts?

I hear most people gain about 1.5" to 2" of lift. Could it be the bushings causing it to be crooked? Also what's the typical price for a shop to assemble struts and shocks?

I am not a pro, but this. Check if there is a bushing in the mount at all.

In terms of installation, I do not see how you will be able to install it any other way but "straight", i.e. the way it is supposed to be.

Thinking about it more, it might be just fine and dos make sense. Like I said, I don't think you will be able to install it any other crooked way, but only the right way. If the other one is nice and "straight", compare them closely.

Yes all new hardware. I drew the line through it to make it easier to see the problem.

I ended up paying a 100 bucks for the assembly. I know that is high but with one exception no shop would touch customer supplied carry-in parts.

How do you tell which side is the top and the bottom? If the side on the bottom was installed on the top the crooked top hat would be even worse.

Most springs I have seen for FJ's and 4runners are flat ground on the top, these don't have it. Not sure why...

But it looks like it's assembled correctly.

Everything looks fine.... the top portion should be flat but will flatten out when installed. I will try to get a pic tomorrow but since the springs are new, they haven’t settled
