I have 94 manual, v6, 4runner. I put it in 4wd high every 3 month on average. Today, I was in 4wd high and accidently put it into 4wd low instead of 2wd high. After it was into 4wd low I've been unable to get it out.
The point I also need to emphasize here is it is that the front drive control lever (the lever that changes from 4wd high to 2wd high etc....) can't be moved back. I've pulled on it (which in theory should move it to neutral) hard enough to where it's clear something isn't right.
The lever has some slack to the left, and I've moved it around in every direction possible and I can't get the lever to engage anything different.
In addition, I've tried driving backwards for a while, tried getting out of 4 low in 1st gear, second gear, neutral, reverse, moving, stopped etc.
In addition, this is possibly the first time I've ever put it into 4 low, it's at 225k, I've had it since 170k.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
