Stuck screw under A/C controls

I am trying to replace some bulbs that are out on my center console (2006 model year). I'm using this post as guidance: Center Console Lights

My issue is that this screw is not cooperating. It will spin, but won't come out. I tried a screw driver, a socket, and ultimately a pair of pliers, all to no avail. What can I do to get the screw out??

This happened to me years ago. I think I wedged something under the screw and used it as leverage to pull out as I unscrewed it. Otherwise maybe treat is a stripped bold and tap/drill it out?

Yes you need to try and get some outwards pressure on it by, as mentioned using a thin bladed screwdriver or similar tool under the head of the
screw while trying to back it out, once the threads catch it should come out easily, if you have some needlenose visegrips you can try clamping them
on the head as tight as possible and pull outwards as you loosen the screw.

Good luck.
