Stuck seat belt height adjuster

My driver's side seat belt height adjuster is stuck in the tallest position. Pushing the button to lower it isn't actually freeing up the lock so I'm not able to move it. Anyone dealt with this before? Looks like maybe I'll have to remove the trim piece and see what's under there. It's a 2003 Limited FYI.

If anyone references this thread down the road, I was able to fix it by pulling back the weather stripping next to the trim piece around the upper seat belt anchor. Then I was able to get the button part back into the correct position where it would function again.
