stupid Alternator wire..need help

So my wire decided to break again...looks like I didnt get all the corrosion areas cleaned. So ima rip it all out and replace it. What kind of wire should I be using? Any tips? Ideas? I'm fed up

Maybe this is a silly answer, but I'd use the same gauge your existing wire is. Sounds like you need to invest in some heat shrink, though, to make sure water can't get back in there.
 
Actually, if you are going to replace any wires, uses heavier/thicker wire than stock.
Lower number = heavier. The stock wire sizes are barely adequate.

And there are 3 ground wires to check/replace, and one from the alt out to the batt +12.
 
if my 2cents matter i second the use of larger wires its always helps to have wires that can take more amperage
 
Since you're doing the grounds, you might as well do the two big ones coming off the negative terminal on the battery. One to the passenger fender and the other one to the right side of the engine block. Also, check the ground wire coming from the firewall to the head.

Gotcha...gonna do all the grounds as well, And probably run all my wires for my sounds too if I have the extra time n $$$
