stupid question, how to access parking light bulb?

Got a parking light bulb out on drivers side and only had time this morning to take a quick look under the hood since it was raining. I did see a 4" or so hole but couldnt get my arm in there to disconnect anything. Am i missing something here? Thanks

There should be a phillips head screw on a small bracket on the top of the park light housing. Take this out. Now the bottom of the lens has a little pop in type post or whatever you want to call it. It is hard as heck to get undone (just did it today) but Just get your finger tip on the bottom outside of the housing and pull hard. It should pop out and then twist the bulb holder out of the housing and then replace the bulb.

lift the hood first

then find the phillips head screw for both parking lenses, and remove the one you need.

I use a thin blade flat tip screwdriver to get some leverage behind the lens. Pull firmly but there is nothing really to hold onto. Use your left hand to pull straight forward on the lens while your right hand applies some pressure from the back and the rear of the lens.

Once it is out you'll see better how it fits into place and the 2nd time you ever have to do this will be a piece of cake.

jamess is describing it properly as well but if you have "fat fingers" this is a tough one to do the first time. Be patient and try to pull evenly along the back side and the underside of the lens....
