stupid question new to 4runners

Hi,
just got a 2000 4runner sr5 4x4 with 73000 miles. question I have is it has a button on the dash that says ect power on/off what or when would use this for? sorry for the stupid question but like I said new to 4runners.I'm
an avid hunter will be using for hunting mainly and suggestions on setup.
