Subwoofer Grill??

When I bought my 03 the panel covering the subwoofer was cracked and pushed in. I'm sure this isn't the first one it's happened to. What have others out there done to help fix the issue? I thought about cutting out the section covering the sub and using a 2 piece 8" sub grill to cover the hole.
Any ideas that's easier and cheaper than replacing the whole rear side panel?

You can make a trim ring out of wood with a router or buy an 8" wood speaker ring and use the inside to attach screen or use it to attach a speaker grill to the outside of the trim panel and just cut out the plastic that is inside of the grill so the grill and wood sandwich the plastic panel and keep it from cracking further.
