Mb quarts in doors and tweeters, with external components. 10" JL Audio in a custom Q Logic enclosure. 1000w Rockford Fosgate AmpDelphi 8" Flip Down with DVD. Pioneer head deck. Monster Cable Ipod connection
snookster.... did you have to modify the component tweeter when you installed it... cuz i have an MBQuart component system sittin in the box still and im afraid to start an install because the tweeter in the box looks bigger than the tweeter enclosure in the door. also... did you do the speakers in the door install yourself?
2 infinity 10"s in a bandpass box
some pos amp that works really well
on that note, the other night, i was driving around and my subs cut out. when i touched the amp, it hurt because it was so cold. do amps (mine is a profile) have a low temp protection as well as a high temp cut off? it has been working fine since that night, and it was pretty chilly, so i am assuming that was the problem.
**edit** oops! sorry, just saw that this was a 3rd gen post
I used to have a 5 gallon bucket with a 10" woofer mountd in the lid of it. It was installed in a Wrangler I used to have. I called it the "Bass Bucket". Worked surprisingly well. Being in a Jeep with a rag top, I didn't want to put alot of money into a sound system. I bought a cheap a$$ sub from WalMart and used a cheap amp. I tried to load the pic i have of it but the dang file is too big. i haven't decided if I'm gonna put it in the 4runner
Mb quart components, JL 250/1 powering a 10" JL sub with a custom enclosure built into rear storage compartment. JL 300/4 powering the door speakers....and finally, a JL audio clean sweep which is an oem interface that gives me aftermarket quality sound and an ipod hookup while allowing me to keep the oem double din head unit for a factory look.
6 1/2" Infinity Reference component speakers up front, 4 1/2" JL's in the rear. Alpine head unit, Rockford Fosgate 1500W amp with a capacitor powering a 12" JL w3v2 subwoofer. Little more bass then i was looking for... but i got a REAL bargain on it.. so i couldnt pass it up. Really happy with the infinity speakers up front by the way...
looks like the grill is, but that's what they're there for
i had a 10" kicker solo running 600w from a kenwood bridged two channel. i say HAD because some SOB ripped out the sub along with a bunch of my tools. i mounted the amp under the front passenger seat though, so i still have that. just need to get a new sub now
