Suggestions about Traction Control issue

Ok so this morning here in North Tarrant the roads were pretty slick from the dew and condensation. While I was on my way to school, I took a left turn at the same speed that I take it every day I go to school, and suddenly my 4Runner just started into a hardcore drift-like action. I'll explain. The back end suddenly swung out from behind me, and then the traction control kicked on, sending the back end into a drift in the other direction. I finally regained control and nothing else happened that was out of the ordinary. I was freaked out because it was on a two lane, two direction back road. Any ideas why guys?

Put is a vsc/trac bypass switch for future inclimate weather. I use mine everytime in the snow or ice. Oh and learn how to drive properly in such conditions if u dont already....aka slow and easy.
