Unrelated to my 4Runner but my wife's x5 has a visitor in her engine bay. How do I remedy this?
spray bottle of ammonia on mist. don't spray it in your engine bay unless you want to smell hot ammonia when you drive, spray it all over the ground under where you park the vehicle.
Judging by the poop, that is either mice or ground squirrels. You need to take care of this pronto, as they'll build nests, have babies, and worse - chew wiring.
I lived in the country for years and this was always a big problem. I had best luck with spring traps baited with peanut butter. This way you know when you got 'em.
Poison is bad because they'll crawl somewhere in the car and die.
Poison is also dangerous because, sure as shite, some dog - yours or a neighbours - will find it and eat it. Mouse or rat poison will stop his blood from clotting and kill the animal in about 48 hours.
Agreed. As an aside, my post control guy told me that vitamin K is a common antidote for rat poison. Good to know, if it's accurate.Poison is also dangerous because, sure as shite, some dog - yours or a neighbours - will find it and eat it.
