Since I had just posted on the last thread minutes ago, thought I'd add it here.
I think this will be close and I like the Seahawks chances. The two #1 units will go at it and both bring elements eachother havent seen before, but things will settle down. I do think a lot depends on how Seattle's offense performs. If they can run the football consistently and control the tempo and the defense can slow the Denver offense just enough, Hawks should pull it out. The thing that has not been addressed (on old thread) is Lynch's running style. It is difficult and it is hard to defend. We've seen it time and time again when teams play Seattle infrequently or never before, they struggle with Lynch. He is hard to deal with and he gets a lot of yards after contact. He is a tackle-breaking and stiff-arming machine. This should be a great game and it was the matchup I was hoping for all year.

ill start it off, i hate to watch the broncos offense because its boring, however beautiful becuase of how peyton controls it. i am rooting for denver for two reasons, first it used to be my second favorite team when i was younger because they had the coolest colors and jerseys. second and mainly becuase peyton deserves it, hes been consistently one of the most elite qbs for the longest time and he only has one ring where his dumbass brother has two. peyton deserves it the most and for him to only have one ring is terrible for how great of a qb he is, its his time

I agree. I'm pulling for the Broncos. I remember going to Tennessee games with my dad when Peyton was playing and he was always my favorite. I love to see when former UT players do good in the NFL and especially Peyton for all he did for the university. Plus I have a #16 UT jersey that is signed by him, so if he wins it only increases in value.

Having rooted for Peyton here in Indy for the past 10 years, I will continue to do so. The man is the definition of football...lives and breathes it. I think he deserves another championship. That said, I have nothing against Seattle. They're a good team. If the weather is decent, I don't see them stopping the offensive threat that Denver has...5 receivers with 10+ touchdowns each! Peyton is having his best season ever, and Moreno can pound out the yards when he wants to.

I'm a cowboy fan so I hate that Eli has more Super Bowl wins than Peyton when he isn't anywhere near as good so if the broncos win then oh well. But I'll be rooting for the Seahawks just because I like to see a team and a qb win that hasn't won before. And because I'm from california and there are too many 49er "fans" recently so id like to see the team that they hate win.

No, I'm still pulling for Peyton. But McDaniel is playing in the Super Bowl, so I would say he is doing pretty good in his career.

One thing to keep in mind as far as Russell Wilson (and our offense in general) goes is that he's been playing a lot of this season without his #1 and #2 receivers. We've seen how much different say both Kaepernick and Luck looked without just their #1 receivers. Heck, even Brady looked far different without Gronk and Hernandez. I think the return of Percy is going to have a big effect. Especially if the weather is lousy. We can use him as an extended running back essentially. But, that's if he can stay on the field.

Wilson just doesn't have that many targets while Denver has it's full arsenal and they are healthy. If the weather is decent the Hawks will be in trouble. Only the weather and if a bad Peyton shows up then Seattle has a chance. Both Broncos and Seattle run defense are ranked 7th overall so it's not like both teams will run roughshod on the other.

I'm hoping for both!
The argument that sort of bugs me is that Peyton somehow needs two rings to solidify his legacy. Win or lose, there's no one out there who can argue that he's not one of the greatest qb's of all time even if he should have one less ring than his brother.
Give us one!

No doubt Denver has a big time arsenal. Seahawks will match up better than any secondary in the league with them however. Its going to be a battle. One thing that has always impressed me with PM is how fast he gets the ball away either to a check down or a safe throw away to avoid getting sacked or even hit. In the game against SF the Hawks had several plays where a QB without Kaps athletic abilities would have been sacked. Even with only rushing 4. PM may not get sacked a lot but I think he is going to get touched a little more than he likes.

Now, I'm not saying that Wilson is the next coming of Brees or even Fran Tarkenton (as some NFL analyst have said), but I do believe he is going to be a great starting QB and there's not a doubt in my mind that there's no way that we'd be in the Super Bowl with either Tavaris Jackson or Matt Flynn.

His QB rating puts him in there with Romo, Newton, and Dalton. Not bad for a 3rd rounder, especially considering all the QBs in the 1st round will be watching from a recliner this year. At the same time, his QB play has been just enough to keep them solvent. That D is what has really kept them in it most games.
I do wonder if they would have been better off with Foles now that we've seen him...

Statistics really don't show the great side of Wilson. Tavaris was a decent quarterback, but he had ZERO 4th quarter comebacks in his starts here. Wilson has 8 4th quarter comebacks and 10 game winning drives. He makes plays exactly when you need them. Look at that Saints game. I admit, he was not good. He was missing all sorts of passes he should make. But in the 4th quarter when the Saints were making a comeback, he made an amazing 3rd down pass (also was an even more amazing catch by Baldwin) to seal the game. In his brief two years he's 3-1 in the playoffs. I'd take him over Romo any day of the week.
And I also agree on the D comment. We are also a run-first team.

You mean the game with 103 passing yards and no passing TDs? That's one I'd leave off my resume, granted it was against a top 5 defense.
That game was lost by the Saints as much as it was won by the Seahawks though... with that dumb move of not going out of bounds and the forward pass to kill the clock.
