Super –Tech oil filter

I have recently joined the motorcycle world (midlife crisis I guess). I got 2006 Honda Shadow Spirit 750..
Anyhow back to the subject: According to the motorcycle forums a lot of bikers would recommend to use Super –Tech oil filters (Wal-Mart brand) in their bikes. The interesting part of their claim is that Super –Tech oil filters have one of the best filtering media, valve and oil flow! Of course they also very cheap: almost seven time cheaper than let’s say Honda OEM filter ($2.49 vs $15.00).
I was very surprised to hear that and I was just wandering if anyone here has any experience of using Super –Tech oil filter in their truck or cars.

I have never used a Super-Tech in any of my vehicles I am a fan of OEM. You may wan't to try bobistheoilguy.com they will have all kinds of information on that filter.

Oil Filters

I have used Wal-Mart/Super Tech oil filters in various vehicles from my Chevy Silverado truck to my Nissan Sentra....and my ex-wife's Nissan Maxima to three Mustang 5.0L GT coupes. My ex-g/f has a 2002 Highlander with 155,000 miles on it - almost all of it on Fram or Super Tech oil filters.

Use quality motor oil and change it often; and your car should not have any trouble at all.

It may have changed recently, but as I recall, Fram makes the super-tech filters. That being said, I'm a fan of OEM.
