In the forced Induction world. Nobody will have have their car tune to 14.7:1. Do that under WOT will blow up the engine in no time. Also the load on your dyno will be different than everyday driving load. I would invest in a Wide Band when going FI.

14.7:1 is stochiometric people!! Under WOT, you want an A/F near 12.5:1 or so, highway cruising should be around 14:7-15:1. So the rod throwing was on the 4.7L engines? WOW! All they have to do is mess with the timing a bit, why would they pull a S/C off the market for that??
If the stock fuel system (including ECU) could not supply enough fuel under ALL condition with the SC, limited timing and remapping would not make much of a difference.
Have you had any problems with the front cv boots with the 1 inch lift? I have a 2.5 inch rev tek kit on mine and I ripped both sides twice with no off road activity.

Funny you mentioned that...??? Yes, my front passenger side inner CV boot tore off at the clamp-- I was lucky the dealership repaired & replaced it for free--They could not really determine if my 1"lift may had caused it but the service advisor highly doubted it-- My lift wasn't putting hardly any stress or strain on the boots themselves...
I agree. The difference in the angle is only slight. Also, these rubber boots are made to flex. I highly doubt that these lift kits would be so popular if this was a common occurance. I believe the dealer should replace the boot for free because I have less than 2000 miles since they replaced them.
In your opinion, would you add the supercharger or the headers for a performance gain. I heard the headers add just as much horsepower as the charger but a lot less cash. What do you think since you have the most performance upgrades I've seen in a while?
I had the same set up as you are looking at and I wouldn't waste my money on the headers. I had 3 sets crack at the welds-which is why I wouldn't get the TRD exhaust either. The supercharger is the item you want, along with the cat back Borla exhaust.
Putting on just the headers will add slightly more horsepower but nothing that is really noticable...I would go with the Supercharger-- the true power would come from the Supercharger itself, the headers & exhaust basically just aid in the performance... With the Supercharger I needed to do fuel modifications also--In my type of set up with the 3.4L engines, the Supercharger was causing the engine to run lean-- I wouldn't know if TRD had resolved that problem with the 4th Gen.
