I'll watch this till the end then place my bid. The last one that was up went to 2400 I believe with 30k miles. You can get a new one for 2700ish from trdparts4u.

Not sure if this is the norm, but these folks charge $600 to rebuild one.

Smart....I would buy at $1k or so...but after a rebuild you are looking at closer to $2k anyways after shipping and rebuild.

Well someone wants it more than I do...I put a $1400 bid on it and I'm defiantly not going higher than that.

All bearings will fail eventually. I think the 4th gens are easier to rebuild and cheaper.

It's still going to be at least $250 more on top of the total. It doesn't appear to come with the dynamic tensioner.

And that's a knock off $10 trd oil cap.

You can buy a 100% new one for $2600, no tax, from a Toyota dealer.

Bidding 1800 or above for one that probably has over 100k miles is a bit crazy.

Just my opinion but I would be super, super careful about buying a used turbo OR supercharger.

If the vehicle was not maintained very well (read oil changes and not overheated) you are setting yourself up for a world of pain and suffering.

I personally would not buy either without knbowing the P.O. and his maintenance habits. ;-)
